I intend to use The Far Coast blog to document and publish material for an Old School Roleplaying campaign that I started to work on recently.

I’ve closely followed the OSR movement in the gaming community for a number of years, and the last three campaigns I’ve run - two with students in an extracurricular club, and a microcampaign with friends - have all used original or retroclone “old school” rules: Labyrinth Lord - Advanced Edition, OSRIC, and AD&D 2E respectively.

In my most recent bout of creative madness however, I was inspired by my re-reading of some great OSR adventures to try a system - or emulation thereof - that I’ve never run or played before; not even in those “back-in-the-day” days of yore: D&D.

I’ll discuss the rules I plan to use a little more in my next post … probably.
